The Tsingy of Ankarana, also known as the Tsingy of Diego Suarez, is a unique and remarkable geological formation located in the Ankarana Special Reserve in the northern part of Madagascar, near Diego Suarez (now known as Antsiranana). This area is known for its rugged, karst limestone formations, often referred to as "tsingy," which means "where one cannot walk barefoot" in Malagasy.
